About Professor Dr. Ulrich Segna Ulrich Segna holds the Chair of Civil Law, Commercial and Business Law, Law of Non-Profit Organizations at EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht in Wiesbaden since October 2015 and has been Dean of EBS Law School since July 2020. Previously, he held positions at the Universities of Osnabrück, Frankfurt am Main, Luxembourg and Heidelberg. His research focuses on banking and capital market law and legal issues of non-profit-organizations. With his multiple award-winning treatise „Intermediated Securities“, Ulrich Segna has established himself as one of the leading German-speaking experts in the field of (digital) securities and custody law. Due to his expertise, Ulrich Segna has become a member of various working groups of the German Banking Industry, including (since 2013) the Custody Law Working Group, which also deals with the impact of Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) on traditional forms of securities custody and transfer. Segna publishes regularly on electronic securities and custody, including contributions to "Bankrecht und Bankpraxis (BuB)" and the forthcoming handbook “Recht der FinTechs”. He is co-editor of a comprehensive commentary on the new Electronic Securities Act (eWpG) (scheduled for 2022 with renowned publisher C.H. Beck).
