The Trading Cafe has become known as one of the most reputable educational resources for anyone looking to learn how to trade. Seeking to build upon that acclaim and provide enhanced support for its students, it has announced the launch of the Trading Academy Legacy Support Tool Plus.
Now available to students, the tool seeks to actively address any gaps or questions students might have after they have completed a study module. Learning to trade is complex, and students often gain as much insight from the questions they ask as from the input provided by their tutors. But instructors are busy, and while they endeavour to respond to students within two to three days, the delay can be deeply frustrating to students, preventing them from progressing at the speed they’d wish to. The Trading Academy Legacy Support Tool Plus has been devised to quickly and effectively answer those questions.
The aim of the tool is to deepen the educational experience of The Trading Cafe’s students, and provide them with unprecedented access to the technical knowledge of its instructors. The model has been trained on approximately four years of live sessions, taking in around 30 live sessions per week across the school, theoretically giving it the ability to answer every question a student might have, providing clear, contextual information. This isn’t removing instructor support, but enabling students to access the information they need when they actually need it. And if the tool doesn’t know the answer, there’s no guesswork involved - it refers students on to their instructors.
The Trading Academy Legacy Support Tool Plus may be a new resource for The Trading Cafe's students, but it has been years in the making, with the groundwork beginning in 2022. The process is still actively evolving, with new data being added to the tool on a continuous basis as the school grows.
Zack van Niekerk, co-founder of The Trading Cafe, comments: “On average it takes us around 9 months to build a complete course that maps out a full trading strategy. Once a student takes the course, you will quickly see what you’ve missed, because students start asking questions. In most academic courses, these types of questions get lost. We don’t want that to happen. So, we have tracked and recorded every question and answer ever asked of our instructors since early 2023, across thousands of students. And used that information to build the Trading Academy Legacy Support Tool Plus.
“When you give students the opportunity to access the information they need immediately, they don’t need to expose themselves to the inaccuracies of generic AI platforms. And they don’t need to waste time waiting for instructors. If they have a question about any element of the trading strategies we teach, they receive an immediate response. That reduces friction, reinforces understanding in real time, and allows them to continue progressing without interruption. And that strengthens both the learning journey and the overall student experience.”
